A former civil and environmental engineering assistant with the Markosky Engineering Group in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, Eva Jeanne Markosky holds a bachelor of science in energy business and finance. She also has a substantial history of church and community involvement. One of the organizations that has benefitted from Eva Jeanne Markosky’s support is buildOn.

Dedicated to combating poverty and illiteracy in the United States and around the world, buildOn works extensively with young people who live in heavily populated urban areas. It partners with a range of corporate organizations and professionals in order to support its various initiatives.
The buildOn 36 Hours program gives business and community leaders the opportunity to spend 36 hours with a student who is currently benefitting from the buildOn nonprofit. Described as a “personal and immersive” experience, 36 Hours allows these leaders to follow their student ambassadors in order to gain an understanding of their daily lives and discuss specific student challenges with school teachers and administrators.
On day one of the 36 Hours program, student ambassadors meet their assigned business/community leader and give them a tour of the larger community. The second and final day of the program focuses on the local educational system with a school tour and extensive interactions with students and faculty alike.
